Why do bad things happen to good people?

 I ask myself this question often. 
Because I feel like I need an answer. I need to know why.
Sometimes I get angry at God thinking, what is the purpose of this? 
Can You not just explain Yourself?
Why does this happen? Why?
I cry out to Him hoping He will hear me.
I am hurting God.  Can’t You understand this?

God in His awesome ways, stills my soul.
He comforts me.
Tells me He has a plan. Things happen for a reason.
Even though I don’t understand them, there is a plan.

I struggle with this time and time again.
But He calms me.
I know that there is a light at the end of this darkness.

One of my favorite passages that helps me through these crazy times in life is…

“Be still and know that I am God.”

I know he’s there. I know He is listening.
And even when we are so desperate to hear an answer.
We just have to fix our eyes upon Him know
That He is God!

This is my prayer,

Dear heavenly Father, please be with everyone that is hurting right now,
and is in pain and doesn’t know what is going to happen.
Still their heart, Oh God.
With all the  uncertainties of life,
Let us know that there is an ultimate plan.
That you know the outcome and it is amazing.
We can try to figure out everything ourselves,
But You hold the answer.
Let us turn our eyes to You in these times of trial and hard ache.
You are awesome, and You are powerful.
