Vacations
So this is the definition of vacation in the dictionary:
Vacation
– a period of suspension of work, study, or other activity, usually used for rest, recreation, or travel; recess or holiday: / freedom or release from duty, business, or activity.

My definition:
ABSOLUTELY NEEDED!!!!
I mean com’on people, don’t you agree?
Life is always running so fast that it makes our head spin. If you don’t take the time to relax and breathe, you are going to run yourself ragged. You are going to feel so run down that you will exhaust yourself, feeling defeated and worn out.
I know there are some people that thrive on always being busy. Always ready to do the next thing. Wanting more, and loving it, and that’s okay. But, trust me, that’s not me! I am almost the exact opposite!

As humans, we need time to rejuvenate ourselves and our minds. Take the time to look and feel better. We need to be able to restore our energy and make us feel new again.
So, back to vacations. They are NEEDED!
You can call them anything, from a break, to rest time, to a long holiday. However you describe it, just time where we can pull away from everyday life, or tasks and RELAX!

My Vacation
I just went on a holiday with my boyfriend. We drove to Revelstoke and stayed there for one night. We then met up with my two sisters and their families in Penticton. Beautiful drive there. Trevor and I stayed there for 7 nights. It was so much fun. So many good times and so much laughter. I can’t wait to go again next year.

Although coming home sucks, and takes a while to get back into the groove of things, it was so worth it. Such good memories made.
So my question is, how do you spend your time on “vacation” ? What do you do to unwind and relax? Where do you go? How do you step back from everyday life to slow down and de-stress?
Let me know some of your answers! Give some ideas and leave them in the comments below. I’d love to hear from you!
