The Starting Point of Living Healthier

As long as I can remember have always been a bit on the larger side. My weight has always been an issue I’ve had to deal with. I have struggled with it all my life. I’m the heaviest I have ever been ( besides when a was pregnant ) and I think it’s a lack of motivation. I use the excuse that I am happy with my weight and I’m going to enjoy life and not worry about it., “If I want a piece of cake, I’ll eat a piece of cake because life is too short worry about carbs and calories….”. was my moto.

Well, my friends, it’s not true. Honestly, I’m not happy. I am frustrated with my waistline and the fact that people think I am expecting a little baby. I loathe getting into a pair of super uncomfortable jeans. I hate that I don’t enjoy getting dressed up because nothing fits good and looks horrible.

So, today, I’m going to start working towards a healthy me. It’s not going to be an easy fix and I am going to try so very hard to achieve my goals. It is NOT going to be an overnight thing and I don’t want to set myself up to fail. I want to start slow and make simple changes. But in the long run, I am going to be better and healthier ( and hopefully slimmer ).

Now for the hard part!

That’s my starting weight. WAY TOO HIGH!!! I would like to see that number a lot lower. A LOT. I like to say a number that I would like to be at, but right now I just have to focus on making subtle changes and feeling good bout it.

And, yes, I desperately need a pedicure!

I hope that you, my friends and followers can keep me motivated and wanting to see me keep it up. And If you feel the same way I do and want to make a change for the better, health-wise, join me! Follow my posts, with tips and tools that I may come across. Leave comments and ask questions. As a result, we can help each other achieve our goals.

Finally, I want to leave a portrait of myself, and see how that changes over time. That’s fun, right?

Just so you know, I won’t always be wearing makeup!

I hope to hear from you soon!
