Happy December!
Blog – The Rocky Roads of Life
Written December 1, 2018

Sorry.
I’ve been lacking in my blog posting.
It’s not that I’ve been extremely busy.
Trust me, I have more than enough time.
Sometimes, I guess I just need a little break.
To get my creative juices flowing again
So, last weekend a pipe burst in the laundry room.
Leaving everything soaking wet.
And me. being one that leaves my laundry downstairs, and a huge wet mess.
I spent my Saturday cleaning it up as much as I could.
Since I rent the upstairs of the house, the landlord (also my Uncle), had been called.
But he said he couldn’t make it until Monday.
I was cleaning up the water when I decided to slip and fall.
On my wrist.
It hurt a little bit, but got up and went on with the cleaning.
What a trooper, right?
The next morning it was a bit swollen.
Probably just a sprain.
I asked my boyfriend Trevor about it.
He is a physiotherapist and knows a lot about bones.
He wasn’t sure but told me I should get it X-rayed.
I waited for 2 more days.
Linden had an appointment with our family doctor Wednesday afternoon.
I would ask her then.
We waited in the waiting room for 2 hours, and then finally got called in.
She took one look at my wrist and I needed to get an X-ray.
STAT!
And low and behold – I had a fractured wrist.
Shoot!
So off to the Royal Alex hospital ER I went.
After a long 4+hours, I left with my first cast ever.
And it’s PINK!

I felt pretty cool with it on the first night.
My boys thought it was “sick”. {their words, not mine}
But then it got old.
Very, very fast.
It is so annoying and always gets in the way.
Last night, in my sleep, I smacked myself in the face with it.
It really hurt, but luckily, there was no bruising on my face.
So, just another two weeks and the doctor will take another look.
He will probably have to put on another one.
Argh!
Love,

P.S – this post took me almost 1.5 hours to write, thanks to this stupid pink cast!
