Boy, oh boy…
Written Sunday, April 30, 2017
I put the boys to bed with anger and frustration.
They just wouldn’t settle down and get on my last nerve.
I walked out and closed the door. What a night…
Then I thought of a song that I love and I had to listen to it…..
“I’ve heard a thousand stories of what they think you’re like
But I’ve heard the tender whispers of love in the dead of night
And you tell me that you’re pleased
And that I’m never alone
You’re a good good father
It’s who you are, it’s who you are, it’s who you are
And I’m loved by you
It’s who I am, it’s who I am, it’s who I am.”
I listening to it twice maybe three times, with headphones on so I could tune them out and listen to it loudly.
After I wiped my tears, I turned the music off and went back into their room.
They were sleeping.
I gave them a kiss on the forehead.
And told them I loved them.
Linden woke up, with sleepy eyes and said “I love you too Mom. So much” and then closed his eyes again.
Thank you, Father, for these precious and beautiful boys.
They are amazing and such a blessing to me.
You are so good to me and so faithful.
I have such a thankful heart.
Amen
