Mother Nature Has it Out for Us!

So, I’m not one to complain.
Actually, scratch that. I complain sometimes, but this is ridiculous. I mean. Come on already.
I thought it was supposed to be April showers, not April snow.

How is a person like me supposed to survive in this kind of weather? It’s been long enough.
I’m so sick of the snow.
On Saturday, it was so beautiful outside. Birds were singing, the sun was shining and the last little bit of snow on my front lawn disappeared.
I even took my bike out and went for a bike ride. It was so nice, that my son Cael even wanted to go bike for longer.

This morning I got up said good morning to my two boys and looked out the window.
It looked cold and dreary and I think it even rained overnight.
That’s OK it’s supposed to rain right?
After I sent the boys the door to go to school, I decided to go back to bed because it didn’t look very nice out.
Fast-forward two hours later and there was snow on the ground. And what should have been rain falling to the ground, was snow. White fluffy snow.
Really? Am I living in a nightmare or something? Aargh!

Besides the fact that I cannot bike in the snow let alone walk very good, I suffer from depression.
I need the sun. It makes me feel warm and happy. I feel like I can do stuff and life is good.
My dad even calls when the sun is out in the morning and says “Sarah, it’s Beautiful outside. Today is going to be a good day, I just know it.”

I had to go to a writing class this evening.
My first one, which I was very excited for.
I was going to take the bus even though it was snowing.
Since I didn’t want to stand outside in the mid-April blizzard that was happening, I waited until I had three minutes to make it to the end of the block where the bus stop is.
Bad move.
Since I only had three minutes, I need to walk fast.
On any other day, it would have been fine, but it was snowing and a bit slippery I had to be kind of careful.
I almost made it to my destination, with only half a block left and the bus goes roaring by in a hurry. Needless to say, there were a few choice words spoken.
Honestly, that bus comes late every single time. Except for today! Aargh!

And this is why I think Mother Nature has it out for us. At least me anyway!
And another thing. When are the May flowers supposed to show up?
